Ashū Yoshihiro

Yoshihiro (吉廣) is a smith known only from his signature. One of his blades is signed 阿州住源吉廣於豊前小倉作 (Ashū-jū Minamoto Yoshihiro Buzen Kokura ni oite saku): he declares himself a resident of Awa (阿州, Ashū), with the uji Minamoto (源), and says that he forged it in Kokura (小倉), in Buzen. It bears the date 元治元年十二月日 (Genji gannen jūnigatsu hi), the twelfth month of Genji 1, between the end of 1864 and the beginning of 1865. His teacher and his school are not recorded.
