藤原実行 (Fujiwara Saneyuki)

Lineage: the signature does not state the generation

Name of a smith of Takada, in Bungo, of the shintō period, known through his signature, which does not state the generation.

Profile

Saneyuki (実行) is the name of a smith of the Takada school, in Bungo, of the shintō period, which one or several generations may have used. He is known through his signature: one blade is signed 豊州高田住藤原実行 (Hōshū Takada-jū Fujiwara Saneyuki), by which he declares himself a resident of Takada and places the surname Fujiwara before the name. The signature does not say which generation he belongs to, and the reference works consulted record nothing more about him.
