Hakuryūshi Nagashige

Nothing is known of Hakuryūshi Nagashige beyond what his signature and its date say. One blade is signed 仙台白龍子藤原永繁 (Sendai Hakuryūshi Fujiwara Nagashige), by which he declares himself from Sendai, in Mutsu province, and places Hakuryūshi (白龍子) before the name; it is dated 慶応四年二月日 (Keiō yonen nigatsu hi), the second month of Keiō 4 (1868), at the end of the shinshintō period. The signature does not say which generation he belongs to, and the reference works consulted record neither his training, nor his master, nor his pupils.
