Ōhara Sanemori
真守 (Sanemori)
A Heian-period smith of Hōki who worked at Ōhara; tradition makes him the son of Yasutsuna and attributes to him the Nukimaru, the tachi of the Taira.
Profile
Sanemori worked at Ōhara, in Hōki province, and tradition holds him to be the son of Yasutsuna, the first great name of the province. He is one of the smiths of the Ko-Hōki, the early work of Hōki.
According to Kotobank, the Nukimaru is attributed to him, the tachi that the Taira clan kept as a treasure; this is a traditional attribution. The same dictionary distinguishes him from Sanemori of Hatakeda, in Bizen, a Kamakura-period smith of the same name.
