Profile

Ryōkai Sadayoshi is a name of the Tsukushi Ryōkai school, borne by one or more smiths, of whom only what the signature says is known. One blade is signed 了戒貞能作 (Ryōkai Sadayoshi saku) and bears the date 天文十五年十二月吉 (Tenbun jūgonen jūnigatsu kichi), an auspicious day of the twelfth month of Tenbun 15 (1546).
