Shimizu Tadatsugu is one of the smiths of modern swords (現代刀, gendaitō) recorded in the Gendaitō Meisaku Zukan, which reproduces two blades by him, a tantō and a wakizashi. He has an entry in the Gendai Tōkō Meikan, the register of modern smiths. The sources consulted do not give the kanji of his name, his dates, his province or his teacher.
