Tomioka Yoshimasa signs with the smith name Yoshimasa (慶正) and has his forge in Sōja, in Okayama prefecture, according to the member list of the Zen Nihon Tōshōkai (全日本刀匠会), the All Japan Swordsmiths Association.
At the NBTHK Exhibition of Contemporary Sword Craftsmen (Gendai Tōshoku-ten) of 2023 he received the President's Prize, in second place, in the tachi and katana section. In 2025 he received the prize of excellence, in first place, in the same section, for a 91.7 cm tachi signed Bitchū no Kuni-jū Yoshimasa saku (備中國住慶正作).
