Profile
Of this Shigetsugu (重次) of Tosa only what his signature says is known: the name in two characters, without a title. His work is placed in Tosa province, in the shintō period. The reference works consulted do not record his teacher, his school or his years of activity, and the signature does not make it possible to tell whether he was a single smith or several.
