Katana signed by Yamato no Kami Yasusada, with a futatsu-dō cutting-test inscription on the tang, full koshirae and shirasaya, and NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Tōken papers.
Katana signed on the omote of the tang 大和守安定 (Yamato no Kami Yasusada), a smith of Musashi province working in Edo in the mid-17th century; the original seller places it in the Keian era (1648). The ura bears the cutting-test inscription 貳ツ胴 (futatsu-dō, "two bodies"), which is also recorded on the certificate. The blade has a nagasa of 71.2 cm and a sori of 1.2 cm, with a motohaba of 3.3 cm and a motokasane of 0.75 cm; the photographs show an undulating notare hamon with gunome. The tang, with sujikai yasurime and two mekugi-ana, appears intact in the photographs. It comes with a full koshirae — a round iron tsuba with geometric decoration, fuchi-kashira with a basketwork motif, gilt figural menuki, a wrapped tsuka over same and a black-lacquered saya — and with a shirasaya. NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Tōken certificate issued in 2024.
