One blade is signed 備中守藤原清宣 (Bitchū no Kami Fujiwara Kiyonobu) and, on the other side, 於美濃関以南蛮鉄作之 (Mino Seki ni oite nanban-tetsu o motte kore o tsukuru): it was forged in Seki (関), in Mino, with nanban-tetsu (南蛮鉄), imported iron. The signature does not give the generation.
