Sumikiyo is a smith of Satsuma in the kotō period who is ascribed to the Naminohira (波平) school, a line that forged for the samurai of Satsuma for nine hundred years, from the Heian period to the beginning of Meiji. Nothing is known of him beyond the name: the reference works consulted do not give him an entry of his own or record his dates.
