He inherited from his father the tōran-ba, the temper of breaking waves, and his models are the great names of the Sōshū-den and of Ōsaka and Edo. Here, what he is after and a gallery of works.
His profile at the Gifu NBTHK says that his goal is the 相州伝 (Sōshū-den), 津田助広 (Tsuda Sukehiro) and 長曽祢虎徹 (Nagasone Kotetsu), and his challenge, the 備前伝 (Bizen-den).His characteristic work is the Sōshū-den tōran-ba (濤瀾刃), which his father already made.Gifu recognises him for reproducing that temper and for keeping up the Seki forging technique.
