A blade signed 備前国住長船貫光 (Bizen no Kuni-jū Osafune Tsuramitsu), with the invocation 八幡大菩薩 (Hachiman Daibosatsu), is dated 長享三年八月日 (Chōkyō sannen hachigatsu hi), the eighth month of Chōkyō 3 (1489); the signature does not state the generation.
