Tametsugu firmava come abitante del Mino (Nōshū) e con il cognome Fujiwara, secondo una delle sue firme riprodotte nel Kotō Taikan.

Non è il Tametsugu di Aoe, nel Bitchū, della fine dell’Heian, che scrive il suo nome con altri caratteri.
