Katana by the second-generation Tadahiro of Hizen, signed with an ubu tang, NBTHK Jūyō Tōken of the 9th session according to the original seller, in shirasaya with an uchigatana mounting.
A Hizen school blade by the second-generation Tadahiro, son and pupil of Musashi Daijō Tadayoshi. The tang is signed 肥前國住藤原忠廣 (Hizen no Kuni-jū Fujiwara Tadahiro), without the Ōmi Daijō title; the original seller presents it as a special-commission signature. The photographs show an ubu tang with kiri yasurime and two mekugi-ana, one of them plugged. Nagasa 71.8 cm, sori 1.2 cm, shinogi-zukuri with iori-mune. According to the original seller, the jigane is a tightly forged ko-itame with mokume and plentiful ji-nie; the hamon is a gunome midare opening at the base with somewhat long chōji, many ashi, a deep nioi and long kinsuji; the bōshi is a ko-maru with hakikake and a regular turn-back. The seller describes the blade as healthy. It comes with a shirasaya, declared in the listing, and an uchigatana koshirae shown complete in the photographs: brown lacquered saya, green-wrapped tsuka, chrysanthemum menuki and a pierced iron tsuba with a sayagata pattern. The original seller states NBTHK Jūyō Tōken papers from the 9th session.
