In short
What we know. In 2005 he entered the workshop of the 25th Fujiwara Kanefusa, in Seki, obtained his licence in 2010 and became independent in 2011. Since 2015 he has chaired the association that reconstructed the Hotarumaru, a lost sword of the Aso shrine, and in 2017 he offered it to the shrine with Kōroki Fusaoki, his fellow apprentice. Kōroki also tells it in the Ōita Prefecture magazine: the replica, an ōdachi of about 136 cm and 2.5 kg, was made without the original, from documents and an oshigata (押形, oshigata) kept in Kumamoto.
What we do not know. We have not found any NBTHK prizes of his, nor photos or descriptions of the blades he forges in the new smithy he opened in 2024.
