Other competitions
- At the Zen Nihon Tōshōkai exhibition of お守り刀 (omamori-gatana, protective swords): the prize of the Okayama Board of Education at the 4th (2009), first place with the prize of the Governor of Okayama at the 6th (2011) and a special prize at the 7th (2012).
- In 2010, the prize of the president of the organising foundation at the 1st of those technical new-work exhibitions.
The mukansa
The NBTHK regulations require for mukansa a minimum of special prizes (特賞, tokushō) at the new-work exhibition. With five Takamatsu-no-miya prizes and a prize of the Agency for Cultural Affairs in six years, the count he gives is more than enough; the year in which it was granted remains in doubt.
