His dates

Markus Sesko gives his years of life, from 1753 to 1805, and writes his name 尾崎助隆 (Ozaki Suketaka).

Ōsaka and Edo

Sesko counts him among the masters of the Ōsaka shintō, with Tsuda Sukehiro, Ikkanshi Tadatsuna and Shinkai, for the fineness of his jihada. In another article he relates that Hachisuka Shigeyoshi, lord of Tokushima, sent his most promising swordsmiths to Edo to study with masters such as Suishinshi Masahide and Ozaki Suketaka; one of them was Ishikawa Masanao (石川正直). The two pieces of information do not exclude each other: having students from Tokushima in Edo does not rule out his working in the Ōsaka manner, but none of the sources consulted says where his forge was.

What is not on record

The sources consulted do not give his master, an honorary title, his pupils, the place of his death or a successor with his name.
